铁蛋白(Ferritin)是机体内一种贮存铁的可溶组织蛋白，是人体含铁最丰富的一种蛋白复合物，分子量约450 000，其中含铁17%～23%。铁蛋白存在于体内各组织和细胞中，特别在肝、脾、骨髓中含量高，脑组织中也有，外周血细胞中包括红细胞、白细胞和血小板也都含有铁蛋白。正常人血清中含有少量铁蛋白。
